If you're a fan of Michael Jackson, Destiny's Child, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Lady Gaga or the Pussycat Dolls, chances are that's thanks to a man who goes by the name of Rodney Jerkins. You may be more familiar with him as Darkchild though, the pseudonym that prefixes all of the songs he lends his production mastery to. The above list is by no means an exhaustive list. Darkchild is responsible for hits by dozens of artists, but they've all been international artists -- until now.
Our very own AKA just revealed that Darkchild will be responsible for some production on his highly-anticipated, forthcoming album, Touch My Blood. The announcement came via a 15-second recording of a FaceTime call between the rapper and producer.
The announcement of Darkchild’s involvement came with an update on when we can expect the album. Touch My Blood is now expected to drop 15 June so that AKA and his team can “get everything perfect for you.” “I tried my best to make it to the 25th but we need more time to shoot videos, release singles, drop merchandise, confirm dates for the tour etc. Sorry,” he wrote in an additional tweet.
