Remembering ProKid: Through his hits and kasi representation

10 August 2018
Shocking news of award-winning hip-hop artist Linda "ProKid" Mkhize's death after suffering a seizure at the age of 37 hit Mzansi in the early hours of Thursday morning. Not only did we lose a legend in the music and entertainment industry but we also lost an artist who shamelessly represented iKasi.

"The legendary SA hip-hop artist affectionately known as ProKid ... passed away on Wednesday. He suffered a severe seizure attack while visiting friends and paramedics were called in to assist. They did their best to revive him to no avail and called his time of death at 8.38pm," read part of the statement.

MTV Base would like to extend its deepest condolences to the Mkhize family and express gratitude for his dedication to the industry.
Although this is an immeasurably sad time for Mzansi, we would like to spend this time to celebrate the movement and life that was ProKid with his hits and moments that he shared with the country and the rest of the world.
