Tyler, The Creator and A$AP Rocky drop video for "Potato Salad" freestyle

25 July 2018
For a few years now, Tyler, The Creator and A$AP Rocky's friendship has grown to the point of the rappers giving it an official name: WANG$AP. Naturally, this would spark rumours of a joint project in the works and that guess might not be too far off at all.

Early on Tuesday, 24 July, a teaser for A$AP Rocky's new AWGE 3 DVD emerged on Twitter. Thanks to Twitter's video restrictions, the clip is only 2:20 but it gives you a decent idea of a new song called, "Potato Salad."
Now it turns out there's a full music video for "Potato Salad." The clip is shot in Paris and sees Tyler and A$AP goofing around in a park with the Eiffel Tower in the background and on the street around a vintage car. The video is overlaid with visually stimulating motion graphics which highlight the creativity and wit of the lyrics. Oh, and Jaden Smith just happens to be hanging out quietly in the car as WANG$AP do their thing.
At the video end of the video, the last thing you see is "WANG$AP COMING SOON." Seems legit though Tyler is sure but isn't so sure. "I'ma kill Rocky for that I don't know whats coming soon or not don't get yo hopes up n***a just be excited," before revealing he's been trying to rap over Monica's "Knock Knock" for ten years.
If you think Tyler, the Creator putting out verses at the furious rate he's been doing is all a game, think again. He sees it more as practice than anything. This why we should optimistically hope for new music.
