Justin Bieber was reportedly placed in a chokehold before being thrown out of Coachella on Sunday night (April 12).
According to TMZ, the ‘Boyfriend’ hitmaker and his entourage walked to the artist’s area where headliner Drake was performing, but were stopped by security.
JB and his crew were informed that the area was at capacity and they couldn’t come in, despite having the correct wristbands.
Eyewitnesses told the website that Justin then argued with security and tried to explain that he couldn’t mingle with the crowd because he’d get hassled by fans.
However, security refused to bow down to the Biebs (despite his protests), with a Coachella staffer eventually grabbing the 21-year old by the arm in a bid to lead him and his team into the area.
In footage obtained by TMZ, security can then be seen rushing up behind Justin and putting him in a chokehold.
Bieber’s team are then said to have ‘got into it’ with security, before the ‘As Long As You Love Me’ singer was ordered to leave the LA festival.
Sources ‘close’ to Justin have since revealed that he actually left on his own accord, but added that they are considering legal action against the security guards.
Bieber is yet to comment directly on the matter, instead promoting his new jam ‘Where Are You Now’ with JackÜ (AKA Diplo and Skrillex) on Twitter.
