Lil Wayne rushed to release his 2010 album, I Am Not a Human Being, due to his impending eight month stint in jail. For the follow-up to the record, the rapper says he will not be rushed and will take his time on the music. Weezy hopes to recreate the success of the previous album and debut at the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart again. No release date has been announced yet.
In related news, Lil’ Wayne made history as a featured artist on French Montana’s “Pop That” when it debuted at number 57 on Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart. This marked Weezy’s 100th hit on the chart. According to Rap-Up.com, he is only the third artist and second rapper to reach this achievement since Billboard first began publishing the R&B chart in 1942.
