Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur, was just as excited as fans to see her late son’s virtual performance with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg at Coachella. Afeni’s rep told TMZ that she was “thrilled” by the performance, although it was bittersweet at the same time. The rep also said that Dr. Dre asked the usually protective Afeni for permission to incorporate the fallen rapper into his performance before going through with the plan. To show his gratitude, Dre made a donation to The Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation in honor of Pac.
