The Big Friday Show | Season 3

THE BIG FRIDAY SHOW brings fireworks, fun and Nigerian youth culture to Friday night TV. Among the slots featured on the show will be: interviews with the hottest Nigerian celebrities; entertainment news and gossip from the digital sphere in C-VON and Bella Naija's VLog of the week; a club review highlighting the best places to party when the weekend lands, and a restaurant challenge where Lagos' top chefs create "THE BIG FRIDAY SHOW SPECIAL" for their menu. As you would expect from a funnyman of Basketmouth's stature, comedy will be a key component of the show – with side-splitting pranks, spoofs and zany skits bringing laughs aplenty to your Friday night viewing.

THE BIG FRIDAY SHOW cameras will regularly be out and about in Lagos – popping in the Rhythm FM studios to film an interview with one of their DJs and their guest, or prowling the streets for fashion darlings and disasters in 'the Cool and the Fool".

Viewers will play a BIG part in THE BIG FRIDAY SHOW - so much so that every week a viewer will be given the opportunity to come to the studio and interview the week's star guest. Basketmouth will also read out his hot pick of the coolest Tweets, funniest emails, bizarre text messages and off the wall Facebook comments submitted by viewers.

Music authority MTV Base will ensure that THE BIG FRIDAY SHOW features the best contemporary music – spotlighting the hottest music videos trending on Facebook, Twitter & SMS in the "The BFS Jams Countdown". Up-and-coming Naija artists will also get chance to shine on the programme – getting their music played to close out the show if they successfully complete the studio challenge.

In his typical comic style, Basketmouth promises, "The Big Friday Show will give you more entertainment than a Super Eagles and Black Stars soccer match, more gossip than a group of women in a hair salon and more videos than Alaba has to offer!!!"

Ink Master | Season 1

Dave Navarro has signed on to host "Ink Master," the first-ever tattoo competition series. The eight one-hour episode series, produced by Charlie Corwin's Original Media with Charlie Corwin and Jay Peterson serving as executive producers, will premiere on MTV Base in May 2012.

"Dave Navarro is known worldwide for his musical talents, but he's also well-known within in the tattoo community for his incredible body art," says Sharon Levy, Spike TV's executive vice president, original series and animation. "Dave's ultimate respect for the art and culture of tattooing makes him perfect for this series."

An estimated 40 million Americans have at least one tattoo somewhere on their body. So who is the country's preeminent tattoo artist? "Ink Master" is the first-ever tattoo competition series featuring some of the nation's top tattoo artists on a quest to determine who is the best at their craft and who will win a huge cash prize. Throughout the competition, the artists battle it out in various tattoo challenges that test the artists' technical skills and on-the-spot creativity, where they must create and execute an original tattoo on command and be judged by a panel including Navarro, tattoo artists and experts Chris Nunez ("Miami Ink") and Oliver Peck (Elm Street Tattoo).

The tension and stakes are high in "Ink Master" as the artists not only face the judges, but also the opinions of their 'human canvases.' The artists will have a wide variety of clients to deal with, ranging from tattoo virgins to connoisseurs with a full sleeve of body art to those who want to cover-up a prior tattoo misstep. The masterpieces created on these 'human canvases' will last a lifetime, but so will the mistakes. Satisfying the individual whose skin now bears the artists' handiwork will be a major element in determining the victor.

The winner of "Ink Master" will win a $100,000 cash prize and a feature in Inked magazine, the preeminent magazine covering tattoo culture, art, music and fashion.

With his six-string skills best described as a merger between heavy metal, psychedelia, and modern rock, Navarro is one of alternative rock's first true guitar heroes. Best known as the guitarist for Jane's Addiction, the band recently released the new single "Irresistible Force" off their highly anticipated album The Great Escape Artist that debuts worldwide on September 27.

Nunez, 38, is of Cuban descent and grew up in Miami, FL. He entered into the realm of tattooing after beginning his career as a graffiti artist. At 21, Nunez packed his bags for a short trip to Brazil and ended up staying for five years. He then traveled through Europe for three years, which enabled him to work with his favorite tattoo artists. The experience expanded both his artistic sense and his knowledge of tattooing. He was a star and fan favorite on the popular tattoo-reality series, "Miami Ink." Nunez is a partner in Ridgeline Empire, a strategic multiplatform content and media corporation, which operates the subsidiaries Ink Skins and Upset Gentlemen and an animation studio with two animated series in development, "Hoodbrats" and "Toothians." He is also getting ready to open a new tattoo venture to be based in his hometown of Miami.

Peck is an artist whose whole life revolves around tattooing. He began tattooing when he was just 19 years old in his hometown of Dallas, TX and has perfected his precise and traditional tattooing style making him one of the best and well-known 'old school' American style artists. In 2008, Peck inked his way into the Guinness Book of World Records when he completed 415 tattoos of the number 13 in a consecutive 24-hour period. He is one of the most traveled tattoo artists on the circuit, tattooing all over Europe including England, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Sweden and Norway and in the Far East, including Japan and Thailand. Peck is co-owner of Elm Street Tattoo in Dallas, TX and the owner of True Tattoo located in Hollywood, CA.

The Challenge: Cutthroat

This season, thirty fan favorites will head to the mysterious city of Prague in the Czech Republic to compete in a bold new Challenge: Cutthroat, where players will discover an exciting new game, filled with twists and surprises. For the first time ever, there will be three teams, chosen by the players themselves. These three teams will battle each other in nine extreme challenges, leading up to a massive and grueling finale. With over $500,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs, the Challengers will need to stay true to the name of the game and get cutthroat to secure their share of the prize!

With a whopping thirty players competing, not everyone will make it to the end to vie for the riches. After each challenge, one man and one woman from each losing team will be sent into the "Gulag," a one-on-one battle arena that will test players' mental and physical capacities. Only the strong will survive and proudly return to the game to compete. The weak will leave with nothing.

Staying out of the hellish "Gulag" means achieving victory in the challenges. After each challenge, the winning team will be safe from "The Gulag" and bank $20,000 to be shared amongst their final players. These lucky winners will have the pleasure of dining on an elegant feast, while the two losing teams will each be forced to send one male and one female player from their own ranks into "The Gulag." And in one of the biggest shockers of the game, players will enter a shadowy dungeon to cast a secret vote. Lies will be told and hearts will be broken, as these Challengers realize the powerful impact of a secret vote. Once the dust clears and the votes have been cast, the man and woman on each team with the most votes against them will be sentenced to "The Gulag." But these embattled players aren't out of the game just yet. The men will clash in their "Gulag" competition -- and so will the women. The winners will come right back to the very team that just voted against them and the losers will be sent straight home.

With over a half a million dollars in cash and prizes on the line, players will push themselves -- and each other -- past their breaking points. This is the most exciting group of players in years and anything is possible: friendships will be tested, romances will blossom, rivalries will emerge, and blood will be shed. And the greatest shock of all will occur in a jaw-dropping, mid-season twist that is too big to even hint at! These Challengers are in for the fight of their lives in order to win it all and be crowned champions of Cutthroat!]]>
